ResearchGATE = Facebook for scientist

ResearchGATE is a free of charge, online research platform with meta-data of around 35 million articles and publications and tens of thousands of Full texts, focused on the sciences but open to all disciplines. First and foremost, it is a social networking site which provides web applications including sharing, forums, methodology discussions, groups, unique self-archiving repository,  file-sharing, publication database etc. Members can create their personal blog within the network. Since May 2008, ResearchGATE has gathered a user base of almost 600,000 researchers from 196 countries.
